Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of KostLens (kostlens.com and app.kostlens.com), an AI cost observability service operated from Brazil. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The service
KostLens ingests metadata about your AI/LLM usage (via SDKs, API, or provider connections) and turns it into dashboards, cost breakdowns, projections, budgets, and alerts. Open-source SDKs are licensed separately under the MIT license and are not part of these terms.
2. Cost figures are estimates
Costs shown in KostLens are computed from token counts and publicly listed provider prices, versioned by effective date. They exist for observability and decision-making, and they will usually match your provider invoice closely — but they are estimates, not billing records. Discounts, credits, contract pricing, and provider-side adjustments can make your real invoice differ. Always treat your provider's invoice as the source of truth for payment.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your credentials and for what happens under your account. Use a strong password. If you believe your account was compromised, tell us at support@kostlens.com immediately.
4. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to breach, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; don't send us data you don't have the right to send; don't use KostLens to violate any law. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.
5. Plans and billing
- The Free plan is free forever, with monthly event limits that reset each month.
- Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period and does not renew after.
- Plan limits and prices are listed on the pricing page and may evolve; existing subscriptions are notified before any price change applies to them.
6. Availability and support
We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is", without a formal SLA at this stage. Support is provided by email at support@kostlens.com.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KostLens is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data). We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.
9. Changes
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll email account holders before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Brazil, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.
